What the Tools Do

Every tool on Chord-Calculator.com works from typed or selected input:

Chord Calculator — you select a root note and chord quality from a menu or type them as input. The tool performs an interval calculation in JavaScript and returns a list of note names, interval names, and inversions. The input (root note + chord quality) and the output (chord notes) exist only within your browser session.

Chord Finder — you type or select a set of note names. The tool runs an interval analysis lookup in JavaScript and returns the matching chord name, quality, and inversion. The note names you enter and the chord name returned exist only within your browser session.

Interval Calculator — you enter two note names. The tool counts semitones between them in JavaScript and returns the interval name. The two notes and the interval name exist only within your browser session.

In every case, the computation is a local JavaScript operation. No input data is transmitted to any server. No results are stored anywhere. When you close the browser tab or navigate away, all session data is cleared.

What These Tools Do Not Do
